About PVD Polished Brass: PVD stands for "physical vapor deposition" which is a manufacturing process that creates a very durable finish that resists both wear and discoloration. PVD finish is commonly used for bathroom fixtures and other hardware which needs to be highly tarnish resistant. This tough, durable finish with normal care should give you and your family a lifetime of shine.

Note: not sure of your backset? Most new doors that are pre-drilled typically have a 2 3/8" backset. If you're unsure and do not have the capability of verifying the backset choose 2 3/8" since it is the most common. Don't worry if it happens to be a 2 3/4" backset, you can always contact us and request a replacement latch set for a nominal fee (no need to replace complete door hardware set) and we will send one out to you immediately.

Please Note: This item ships with exposed screws on the interior side of the door.
