I have natural maple shaker style kitchen cabinets.  Down the road we hope to have them painted, but in the meantime I ordered the Liberty Kitchen Cabinet Hardware - 4" centers, Francisco Pulls in Warm Chestnut to help give my kitchen a face lift (along with new wall paint color, window treatment, and stool covers).  In my opinion they are an updated farmhouse style.   I had to work with existing holes in cabinet doors, where we previously used knobs.  The 4 inch style worked perfectly, (we used the 3 inch version on our drawers).  They have substance to them, easy to install, with a hefty weight to them.  We decided to hang them horizontally on the cabinets instead of vertically, and they look GREAT!!  (I also find the vertical installation makes them more comfortable and much easier to grab when opening the cabinets).
